Aazaz Haq, MD
Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist | Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Aazaz Haq is a board-certified psychiatrist in both adult and geriatric psychiatry. He is the founder and medical director of McLean Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center, where he leads a team dedicated to providing advanced care for patients with mood disorders, particularly treatment-resistant depression.
Dr. Haq completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School, followed by residency training in psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at UCLA and completed additional fellowships in psychodynamic psychotherapy and neuromodulation, including specialized training at Duke University in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and certification in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) through the International Society for ECT and Neuromodulation.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Haq has served in leadership and academic roles, including as Clinical Instructor at UCLA, Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford, and Director of Neuromodulation at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. He brings this depth of experience to every patient encounter, offering a combination of thoughtful diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and deep respect for patient autonomy.
Dr. Haq currently holds licenses to practice medicine in Virginia and Pennsylvania. His areas of clinical focus include advanced neuromodulation therapies (TMS, ECT), ketamine and esketamine treatments, and the management of complex mood disorders in adults and older adults.
Sonia Alam, MD
Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Alam is a board certified adult Psychiatrist. She completed her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University followed by residency training in psychiatry at the Thomas Jefferson university hospital. She also completed a certification in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) through the International Society for ECT and Neuromodulation.
Dr. Alam currently holds licenses to practice medicine in Virginia, Maryland, DC, and Pennsylvania. Her areas of clinical interest include women’s mental health, integrative health and wellness, and mood disorders. She values a combination approach of medication management, therapy, and body health to ensure a solid recovery. She encourages skills based therapy techniques such as CBT, DBT, ERP. Here at McLean NTC, she hopes to work together with her patients to create the healthiest, most fulfilling treatment plan.
Kiana Fussner PA-C
Kiana is a psychiatric Physician Assistant with over 5 years of experience in the mental health field. She is certified by the NCCPA and holds licenses in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and Delaware.
Kiana shares a devotion and drive, along with Dr. Haq and the rest of the colleagues at MNTC, to treat all persons as a whole, not just as the mental health conditions they struggle with. Kiana is compassionate as well as rigorous in her treatments of psychiatric conditions across the spectrum, specializing in depression, Bipolar Disorder, schizophrenia, OCD and anxiety. She is excited to join the team at MNTC and help bring relief to any of those struggling with treatment resistant depression, other mental health disorders, or those who just have not felt heard in their mental health journeys up to this point. She hopes to bring each of her clients a shred of hope and a promise of a better tomorrow utilizing the cutting-edge psychotropic treatments MNTC has to offer.

Jennifer Kilmer

Jennifer Kilmer, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a unique background blending neuroscience, forensic psychology, and direct patient care. She completed her advanced psychiatric training at Stony Brook University and brings over two decades of clinical experience across psychiatric emergency care, neuroscience, trauma, and critical care.
Jennifer has a special interest in working with children and adolescents, as well as adults with complex psychiatric and medical needs. In addition to her role at McLean Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center, she works with Cartwheel Care providing school-based psychiatric support for young people. Her patients value her clear, thoughtful communication style and her ability to integrate brain science with compassionate mental health care. Jennifer brings a prodigious perspective to her work with patients seeking expert psychiatric care.
Ryan Wood
PMHNP-BC / Psychiatry
Ryan Wood, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama, where he specialized in advanced psychiatric assessment and treatment. Ryan brings a comprehensive understanding of the intricate connection between physical health and mental wellness to his approach with patients here at McLean NTC and has over a decade of experience spanning multi-system progressive care, cardiovascular intensive care, and psychiatric behavioral health.
Ryan’s advanced clinical experience involves managing a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Presently, Ryan helps patients living with treatment-resistant depression by conducting comprehensive medication management and employing interventional psychiatric treatments. Ryan utilizes evidence-based approaches to help provide personalized care that supports each patient’s path toward sustained wellness.
Krista Rose
MPAS, PA-C, CAQ / Psychiatry
Krista Rose, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with specialized training in psychiatry. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and brings over three years of dedicated psychiatric experience, along with more than a decade of experience in patient care. Krista provides comprehensive evaluation and medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.
Krista’s approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and evidence-based. She believes that effective treatment begins with building a strong therapeutic partnership where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care.
